The Senior IT Specialist adds to the organization capabilities and improves the long-term IT infrastructure and services while working independently from their assigned campus, coordinating efforts with the IT team and company staff. As a Tier II position, the individual in this role will be the first point of escalation for IT assistance per campus ensuring a polished, helpful presence at all times, making certain IT needs are met at every turn.

• Show advanced skill level troubleshooting and resolving IT service tickets in operations, applications, and systems as they relate to business operations in the entire technology ecosystem stack.
• Independently research technical publications and interfaces with vendor advanced technical support to achieve resolutions.
• Provide IT support and troubleshoot problems for employees and customers.
• Communicate the status and progress of problems to the customer, user, relevant stakeholders, and leadership.
• Create Knowledge Base articles for internal IT and external customer use.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for personnel for problem solving and IT project planning and provide end-user support including educational classes and mentoring.
• Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills and provide resolution of IT service tickets in operations, applications, and systems as they relate to business operations in the entire technology ecosystem stack.
• Monitor industry best practices, trends, technologies, and Research and recommend new technologies and solutions as the emerge.
• Participate in training and mentoring junior staff.

• Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a broad range of technology.
• An additional four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

• Understand the architecture and management of operating systems, virtualization software, and networking.
• Ability to diagnose problems, analyze and model data.
• Skilled in resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to follow and understand the latest information on IT trends, best practices, standards, and methods..

$31.00 - $31.25 per hour, DOE + an outstanding benefits package
