Position Overview

The Curriculum Developer is responsible for developing and improving the learning experiences that educate the trade workforce through all stages of career growth and development. This role will leave a mark on the industry by ensuring curriculum is practical, consumable, logically structured and sequenced, and uses audience-appropriate language. The Curriculum Developer collaborates with subject matter experts and cross functional teams that support various elements of curriculum to include graphics, editing, and media to improve curriculum that is delivered within the classroom, lab, field, and virtual environments.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and improve practical, relevant, and accurate technical curriculum for the trades to include instructor-led materials (textbooks, workbooks, PowerPoints, etc.), e-Learning, exam items, and curriculum support items.
  • Design and develop learning around company training models and best practices.
  • Utilize educational technology platforms and digital authoring tools to develop, upload, and manage curriculum.
  • Drive alignment through skillful interview and facilitation techniques to gather necessary project requirements from customers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts and review curriculum drafts throughout development.
  • Manage file structure, document versioning, and rollout process to create and publish curriculum.
  • Learn about the trade workforce, our customers, and our products and services, to include our vast library of curriculum and associated assets.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, journalism, communication, English, curriculum development, instructional design, education, or related field.
  • 4 years’ relevant work experience in a field listed above.
  • Experience working in a content production environment.
  • Or 8 years’ experience relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Technical Requirements/ Core Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Proficiency with e-Learning authoring software (Articulate, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to learn and operate within organizational platforms such as Adobe Creative suite, SharePoint, and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of adult learning best practices for developing curriculum and/ or delivering instruction.
  • Curriculum planning or instructional design using models like ADDIE or similar.
  • Project planning and management.

Salary

$57, 640 - $72,050 annually, DOE
